NOMI City Smart Initiative

As one of Mayor Alix Desulme’s initiatives to provide better resources to City of North Miami residents, he has launched the NOMI City Smart Initiative. Through his collaboration with Moolah Wireless, Inc., Mayor Desulme will distribute Free Tablets to eligible residents. This distribution program is made possible by The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.

Through the program, the company will identify and connect eligible recipients with affordable internet service. Moolah Wireless, Inc. has formed direct wholesale and retail partnerships with T-Mobile, allowing us to offer its service and its support under the Moolah Wireless brand while applying the Affordable Connectivity Program credits to each bill, resulting in the most affordable high-speed internet in the country.

We know that many families are struggling to pay their high-speed internet bills and are not receiving the government credits designated to them and other families receiving Medicare, Medicaid, Pell Grants or any other type of federal assistance. That’s why we are here to help. We know it is vital that all families maintain high-speed internet regardless of their financial means. While supplies last, it is one tablet per household. Recipients of free tablets from other providers are ineligible.
